If I could get a list of CPS soakers and pics of their internals I would be most grateful.  I have some PVC pressure tanks that need use.

The best ones for modifications are the ones with spherical pressure chambers:
CPS 1000,
CPS 1200,
CPS 1500,
CPS 1700,
CPS 2100,
CPS 2700.

Edit: Also, the CPS 1-3-5.

Why are they better?

The aforementioned are better because they are spherical pressure chambered, which means that they can be k-modded as opposed to colossused-... k-modding is much easier than colossusing.

So you would rather put like 100 baloons on a SS bladder before you would band an innertube?  Could I get pics of both bladders?

100 balloons!?  I am only the 2nd modder to ever see that threshold.  That's at the upper end of the power parabola, you actually get less power because adding so many balloons limits how far the pc can expand.  You also run the risk of blowing out the trigger valve.  K-modding is not only easier than colossus, but it also adds much more power for your effort.  I can K-mod a gun in an hour.  In power order, it goes

1500/1700
1200
1000
2700
2100
1-3-5

You can also K-mod integration guns, of which there are forty, so I'm not going to bother to list those.

So Kmodding is faster than inner tubing?  Thats dumb.  Like really.  An innertube can be fast and dirty.  Lace it with other rubber rings and drop a few rubber balls in the sucker.  Then band the junk out of it.  15 mins, no less.

I've k-modded 2 guns in less than an hour, which was done so hastily because I was in a hurry to get ready for a game. Just cut the balloons, open the gun and PC, and shove them on, then close up the PC and the gun.

I personally am lazy and prefer the lighter side of the K-mod. I'm too lazy to do PRV removals so I stick to no more than 25-30 balloons. (the limit of course, varies by gun) For the 1000, I found 10-15 balloons to be a good limit without a PRV removal, and 25 balloons for the CPS 1200. They still shoot about 50ft (give or take, I didn't measure it, but it's up there and goes at least as far as the CPS stock cannons, such as the CPS 2000), which isn't bad.

What part of the balloon do you cut?

You cut the neck of the balloons, but how far up the neck depends on the size of the gun's pc and how many balloons are already on it.  When going heavy and/or with a large pc, you cut lower down on the neck and vice versa.

The limit for a light K-mod is related to the HPL [high pressure limit] of the gun you are modding.  The limit is most often around 45 balloons, but guns with weak HPL might not be able to have 20.  Now for optimal power, picture a parabola facing down.  Too few balloons is one end and too many is on the other.  With the PRV in place, it will only let you pump a certain amount of times depending on the amount of balloons.  You want to balance the amount of pumps and balloons so that you get the most power and can use it.  15-35 is normally the range of balloons for optimal power.

@Cole, you underestimate the ease of K-modding vs Colossus.  For one thing, all spherical pc cases are held together by screws.  Easy.  Not so with cylindrical pcs.  The old way is to saw the case, the new way is prying off the end, when possible.  Slipping balloons on spherical bladders is also much easier and faster than slipping LRT or bike tubes over cylindrical bladders.  K-modding provides significantly more power as well, unless you are replacing the entire cylindrical pc with LRT.

Oh, so there are no cylindrical bladders?  I'll have to fix that.  Rubber tube is awsome.  Use it for most of anything.

K-mods are only compatible with spherical bladders and Colossus mods are only compatible with cylindrical bladders.

K-moddable: CPS 1-3-5, 1000, 1200, 1500, 1700, 2100, 2700 only

Colossus-able: CPS 2000, 2500, 3000, 3200, 4100, FF, AB, MX, MXL, Monster 01, Hydroblitz, etc.

So DX, when you K-modded the CPS 1500/1700, did you do it with or without the pressure-release valve frozen?
I have a 1700 and if its worth it, I would do a light K-mod while leaving the valve intact.

My 15K is light [25 balloons at the moment], with the PRV in place.  I still need to fiddle with the balloon numbers to get the right optimal power.
